HR-LS + HD steering unit with a variable displacement piston pump and drive control system

Compared to the HR-LS version, this system includes an additional section in the valve block responsible for controlling the hydraulic drive of the trailer. In this option, low-pressure HR servojoysticks are mounted in the cabin, while the main valve block is located on the crane column. The LS variable-displacement pump is located on the trailer's drawbar. The movements of the crane arms are proportionally controlled, and the grab and telescope are electrically operated from buttons on the joysticks. The hydraulic drive control for Black Bruin is managed through a panel with front-back buttons and a potentiometer. The quick-release panel option allows for rapid detachment of the trailer from the tractor without removing the joysticks from the cabin. In this option, only joysticks are routed to the cabin without a valve block, making them easier to install independently and allowing for a much more ergonomic positioning compared to HE/STD controls. This option is available in cranes 4768 and larger.

LS Variable-displacement Pump: Pumps with variable output and flow rates up to 230 l/min, combined with LS valves perfectly matched individually for each crane model, meet the highest expectations of users. The systems have a wide range of speed adjustments for each section individually, as well as acceleration and deceleration of the entire crane's operation. The system allows for perfect calibration based on the operator's skills and the type of work the machine performs. Although this type of hydraulic system demands slightly more from the service staff, beyond its efficiency and comfort, the LS system better protects the machine from errors or poor operator habits.

Advantages of the system include:

The hydraulic unit with a variable-displacement piston pump in conjunction with the LS system collaborates with advanced control systems HR, ELS, and PVG32. A high-performance pump (up to 230 l/min), connected to a robust gearbox, is housed in a sturdy casing mounted flexibly on the hitch. The drive is transferred from the tractor's PTO through a shaft with one or two wide-angle joints. FAO FAR®, as the sole manufacturer, individually designs hitches for each customer. Thanks to this, regardless of the hitch height on the tractor and the size of the wheels on the trailer, after aggregation with the tractor, the trailer frame will be perfectly horizontal, and the PTO shaft length will always be optimal.
